Consulting tasks, 2006-2008 and ongoing

Through my work for Moonen and Collis Learning Technology Consultants BV and as an Emeritus Professor of the University of Twente, my consulting tasks in 2006-2008 include:

1. Consultant, Shell EP (Exploration & Production) Learning and Leadership Development (2005-2007), Shell Learning (2007-2008), and Shell Project Academy (2006-2007)

Learning Value Assurance (Shell EP, Shell Learning, and Shell Project Academy):

(2006). Learning value assurance (LVA) consultant, Shell EP: Responsible for global learning value assurance pilot; responsible for participant analysis and review of assessment of participant performance in Shell EP courses (including development and implementation of the Assessment Workbench Website as a business resource; co-responsible for cross-course evaluation and the EvaluAAR (Evaluation- After Action Review) processes including analyses of participant and supervisor responses; co-responsible for the revision of the EvaluAAR process; contributor to evidence of the business impact of learning

(2007) Consultant , Shell EP and Shell Project Academy: Advice on participant evaluation and measures for the impact of learning. Analyses and recommendations based on data from these measures and processes.

Knowledge, Innovation, and Design (KID), (Shell EP until March 2007 and Shell Learning from March 2007-December 2008):

(2006-2007): Co-responsible for review and re-design of the learning agreement and processes for supervisor involvement in Shell EP courses, consultant for the implementation of blended learning for Shell Learning and for research directions (2007), as well as other aspects of innovation in corporate learning (2006-2007).

Note: This work relates directly to my tasks as Head of Research in Shell EP Learning and Leadership Development (2003-2005) and Head of the University of Twente-Shell EP Learning Collaborative Project (2000-2005). This collaboration was recognized internationally as a Best Practice Award Winner for Research-Practitioner Partnerships from the ASTD (American Society for Training and Development, http://www.astd.org/ASTD/aboutus/ ) in 2005. ASTD is the world’s largest association dedicated to workplace learning and performance professionals. ASTD’s members come from more than 100 countries and connect locally in 140 U.S. chapters and 24 Global Networks.

(2008): Innovation consultant, Shell Learning: Focus on assuring the value of blended learning, including certification standards for Shell Learning professionals involved in blended learning and responsibility for a study of the business impact of using the Shell Wiki for learning. This work involved two presentations at Shell Learning in 2008:
