  Elementary and secondary school in Detroit, Michigan, 1949-1963; awarded various prizes, including "Young Chemist of Detroit", "National Merit Scholarship", graduated first in my class, class valedictorian, editor of school yearbook, first violin in school orchestra, etc.

  University of Michigan (USA), BA, Mathematics, Magna Cum Laude, and Michigan Certificate for Teaching Mathematics in Secondary Education, 1963-1966; tuition and all costs paid by National Merit Scholarship and several other awards; elected into Phi Beta Kappa

  Stanford University (USA), MA, Mathematics Education, 1967; tuition and all costs paid by the Paul DeHart Hurd Shell Merit Scholarship for excellence in Mathematics. Also acquired lifetime California teaching certificate for secondary school mathematics.

  University of Victoria, (Canada), PhD in Measurement, Evaluation and Computer Applications in Education,1983; Also acquired permanent British Columbia teaching certificate for secondary school mathematics. Dissertation awards: Dissertation of the Year, Phi Beta Kappa Western Region (USA and Canada); Outstanding Dissertation Award, Canadian Association for Educational Psychology. Dissertation topic: Gender differences in attitudes toward computers and their educational and psychological implications.
