I am an associate professor at Twente University, Faculty of Behavioural Sciences, in the Department of Research Methodology, Measurement and Data Analysis. My research activities are in a number of areas of Bayesian statistics.

Main interest is focused on complex modelling in higher-dimensional problems. The areas of modelling research relate to theory and methods of multivariate analysis, stochastic simulation, mixed effects modelling, among others. Applications and data analyses are
executed in the field of educational and psychological research.

I have obtained a personal Vidi grant (2007-2012), awarded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). This research program focuses on the development and application of Bayesian models for large-scale comparative survey research. A Bayesian modelling approach is proposed that addresses well-known methodological issues, as they arise in large-scale comparative survey research.
